Custom Sleep Technology, LLC (CST) manufactures, and markets sleep products that are constructed specifically for each individual’s unique body characteristics. In May 2021, CST’s three owner-partners were issued a U.S. Patent for their Custom Foam Mattress Design System. CST was originally started in 2008 under the name of Custom Sleep Design by two founders: Robert Zukowski (with deep roots in the mattress industry) and Bernie.
CST now operates a retail/fabrication facility in Shelton, CT., where they can offer hundreds of mattress configurations due to the modular design of their products.
One of the most unique features of their mattress products is that it can be modified if the body characteristics of the user(s) change or one or more of the internal components fail over time. This is all accomplished in the home with no need to remove the mattress. “It’s the last mattress you’ll ever buy.”

By utilizing the body measurements of each individual sleeper, CST determines the required ILD/IFD (softness) and foam densities of each layer and segment on each side of the mattress and/or mattress topper to minimize pressure points and place the spine in a natural and stress-free position. CST can also address specific physical issues that customer experience.
CST has created the next generation of sleep products utilizing their patented technology that is focused on truly improving the health and wellness of their customers.
