DIY Natural Bedding is a fairly new company launched in 2011 by the Brenton family as a result of their own “mattress hunt” spurred by safety concerns for their two very young daughters and budget considerations. Since the company’s launch in 2011 (when we first contacted DIY) they had a steady growth as a company with solid principles, values, and great respect for customers. The two questions that catapulted Deborah and her husband into the DIY mattress business are questions asked today by many consumers and the reason for which the company continues to thrive.
What if we could have more choices over the bedding other than being comfortable?
What if we want a great product but couldn’t afford the full price for our choices?
Company highlights:
- Offers several easy to make all latex mattress configurations for adults and children (see Products tab).
- Specializes in mattress DIY and custom work with natural products which include options of cutting organic latex in any needed size and shape.
- Offers DIY patterns for ticking, comforters, wool blankets, weighted blankets, and wool toppers are coming son and some are already on the website.
- Their design & “sewing” room is the place where they develop many new patterns which help create products that meet exact consumer specifications, from upholstery to baby bassinets, from car seats to seat cushions. They have the experience and skill waiting to help their customers to find tailored solutions.
- For their local customers in and around Lafayette, IN and St. Paul, MN who would like to try test different mattress and DIY configurations, they have available all organic latex firmness choices that consumers can test and rearrange to find the best comfort/support match for either a mattress or DIY configuration (including samples of their offerings).
